3/8" LP · .050" · 39 DL chain: which saws it fits

A 3/8" Low Profile pitch, .050" gauge chain with 39 drive links. It is most often found on 10" bars, and fits 36 chainsaw and pole-saw models from 3 brands in Oregon's fitment data. Bar length alone doesn't decide fit — all three numbers have to match your saw.

Confirm it's your size

  1. Read the bar stamp. Near the tail of the guide bar you'll usually find pitch, gauge and drive links, e.g. 3/8 LP .050 39. Some bars stamp the Oregon bar number instead — look it up on oregonproducts.com.
  2. Count the drive links on your old chain — the teeth that ride inside the bar groove, not the cutters. It must be exactly 39.
  3. Low profile is not full profile. 3/8" LP and 3/8" full-profile chains share the "3/8" but are not interchangeable.
  4. If the stamp is worn off, the owner's manual lists the bar and chain; find it on the manufacturer's support site.
