Confirm it's your size
- Read the bar stamp. Near the tail of the guide bar you'll usually find pitch, gauge and drive links, e.g.
3/8 .063 115. Some bars stamp the Oregon bar number instead — look it up on oregonproducts.com. - Count the drive links on your old chain — the teeth that ride inside the bar groove, not the cutters. It must be exactly 115.
- If the stamp is worn off, the owner's manual lists the bar and chain; find it on the manufacturer's support site.
